BMW i3
This list begins with the BMW i3, a B-segment high-roof hatchback. The BMW i3 is the company's first mass-produced zero-emission vehicle. It is part of BMW's I sub-brand. This vehicle has a 260-liter boot, an electric motor, and rear-wheel drive with a single-speed transmission. It is expected to be released in 2022 at a price of one crore Indian rupees. It has a 33-kilowatt-hour battery that can take this car to new heights. It is estimated that a single charge will cover a range of 245 kilometres.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge isn't your typical SUV; it's fully electric and ready to hit the Indian market. In the first quarter of this year, this SUV is expected to be released (2022). Do you know that the Volvo XC40 Recharge is the company's first all-electric SUV? It will be delivered to India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).
When it comes to the XC40's front end, it features a white finished panel that houses the Volvo Badge and gives it the classic signature look. It has new alloy wheels as well. The Recharge, unlike the regular XC40, is built on the company's CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform. The Recharge is similar to the regular XC40, with the exception of a few visual differences that indicate its electric nature.
On each axle, the XC40 has a dual motor powertrain with 150 kW electric motors. These motors have a peak torque of 660 Nm and a power output of 402 bhp. These motors are powered by a large 78kW battery, which provides a range of approximately 418 kilometres. In addition, the XC40 Recharge can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.9 seconds.
Tata Altroz EV
Tata debuted the all-electric Altroz at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, as we all know. The new EV Altroz is based on the same ALFA platform that can be converted to an electric vehicle. In the first quarter of 2022, the all-new Altroz EV will be introduced alongside the XC40. Tata is electrifying every car they release, and people will be overjoyed to learn that their beloved Altroz, like the Nexon and Tigor, will be electrified as well. Tata is one of the companies that is committed to long-term development. The Altroz EV is expected to incorporate many of the features found in the Nexon EV, which was released a few years ago.
