Azim Premji Biography
Azim Premji, India's fourth richest man, is credited with expanding Wipro, which began in Amalner, Maharashtra's district Jalgaon, as a manufacturer of vegetable and refined oils. At the tender age of 21, the 69-year-old business magnate assumed command and has since shared many of the lessons he learned throughout his career with India's youth.

Azim Premji Early Life
Azim Premji was born into a Muslim family in Bombay. His father, who was also a successful businessman and was known as the Rice King of Burma, instilled in him a business mindset. Muhammed Ali Jinnah, Pakistan's founding father, invited his father Muhammed Hashem Premji to Pakistan, but he declined, and as an Indian, I am grateful to God that he did. Premji chose Stanford University for his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree. Mrs. Yasmeen Premji is his wife, and the couple has two children, Rashid and Tariq. Rishad Premji currently works for his father's company, Wipro, as the chief strategy officer of the IT division.
Muhammed Hashim Premji founded Western Indian Products Ltd in 1945. Sunflower Vanaspati cooking oil and 787 soap were two of the company's brands. After his father's death in 1966, Azim Premji returned to Wipro after graduating from Stanford University. Wipro used to specialise in hydrogenated oil, but Azim Premji expanded the company's offerings to include toiletries, bakery fats, lighting, hydraulic cylinders, baby toiletries, and hair care. Premji recognised the bright future of the IT sector in the 1980s, and he took advantage of the gaps in the IT sector by manufacturing minicomputers with the help of an American company, Sentinel Computer Corporation, and the rest is history.
