Summer has arrived, and boy, is it scorching! Summer is ready to break all past records and make you spend your days with water running down your throat. I assure you won't be gone for the full day. So, to avoid boredom, you can binge-watch your favourite TV episodes and movies on Netflix. We've put together a selection of some of the best movies to watch this summer in the luxury of your own home, away from the sweltering sun.

Netflix's Top Films to Watch in 2022

Through an open door, Peggy Sheeran (Lucy Gallina) watches her father, Frank (Robert De Niro), prepare his suitcase for a business trip. Trousers and shirts are neatly tucked and folded against the interior of the suitcase. The snub nose handgun, Frank's most vicious tool, is loaded. He has no idea his daughter is staring at him because she is naturally silent and has remained so throughout their adult lives. He puts the case to rest. She disappears behind the shut door. Her decision is pending. The sequence takes place around a third of the way through Martin Scorsese's latest film, The Irishman, which is called after Frank's gangster moniker. Frank lies on his nursing home bed, elderly, decrepit, and tragically alone, forgotten by his family and completely absent of his gangster pals as the film progresses. He could be waiting for Death, but he's more likely waiting for Peggy, who has disowned him and has no intention of forgiving him for his mistakes.
Uncut Gemstones
Howard Ratner (Adam Sandler), the proprietor of a prestigious diamond business in New York's diamond district, does well for himself and his family, but he can't stop himself from gambling obsessively, owing a large sum to his brother-in-law Aron (Eric Bogosian, nefariously slimy). Still, Howard must balance additional risks: Demany (Lakeith Stanfield), a customer and goods tracker, and Julia, a clerk with whom Howard is having an affair while "keeping" her calm in his New York apartment, are on his payroll. His wife (a perfectly cynical Idina Menzel) is weary of his nonsense, and in the meantime, he's expecting a special package from Africa: a black opal, the stone we originally saw in the movie, which Howard predicts will be worth millions of dollars. His world is turned upside down after he gambles and puts black opal on the table, and that is the plot of this film.
The Sound of Silence
This anime is a gem for people who enjoy a well-crafted plot with stunning visuals.
Naoko Yamada's presence is a breath of fresh air in a medium that sometimes feel restricted by the primacy of macho aesthetic sensibilities and saturated with hyper-sexualized images of women labelled as "fan service," to say nothing of the unrivalled quality of her films. Yamada is a master filmmaker, capable of capturing attention and conveying dark and bittersweet emotions through skillful sound design, quick editing, ephemeral colour palettes, and characters with complex interior lives influenced by Yasujiro Ozu, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Sergei Parajanov, Sofia Coppola, and Lucile Hadi, and packed with tangled, human struggles
A Silent Voice, based on Yoshitoki Oima's manga of the same name, is a fantastic example of these sensibilities at action. When Shoya Ishida meets Shoko Nishimiya, a deaf (transferred) pupil in primary school, he persistently insults her, much to his peers' joy. Shoya goes too far, pressing Shoko to move again for her own safety, and is considered a troublemaker by his peers, leading to self-imposed exile and self-hatred. Years later, Shoya runs with Shoko again, this time as a young adolescent, and attempts to make amends for the harm she caused, He hurt her while striving to understand his own motives.
Okja Okja takes more significant chances in the first five minutes than most movies do during their whole runtime, and it doesn't stop there. For some spectators and commentators, particularly Western ones, the seemingly changeable tone, from perception to dramatic tension to ecstatic action to whimsy to shock and awe to whatever Jake Gyllenhaal is doing, appears to be a controversial subject. But this is part of what makes Bong Joon-ho films blockbusters in the first place: They're diverse and complex, but neither subtle nor controlled. They are meticulous but not delicate in their treatment. They have numerous goals in mind, and they mix them to create jam. They're inventive works with part-counterpart variations that create momentum, and Okja is possibly the clearest example yet of Bong's rhythmic tonality's wild pendulum swing. Okja isn't a vegetarian film, but it does address how we may find integrity and, more significantly, how we can behave humanely toward other creatures, including humans. Okja's replies are straightforward and important, and by asking all the right questions in an exciting manner, it allows you to hear them for yourself without really uttering them.
The Dog's Influence
Jane Campion's long-awaited return to filmmaking—following 2009's Bright Star and years spent working on television—seems suitable, based on Thomas Savage's 1967 novel of the same name recognising a director who has demonstrated mastery in creating a stressful atmosphere. So it is with The Power of the Dog, a film carried by the pervading sense that someone could break at any moment—until they do. In 1925 Montana, Phil (Benedict Cumberbatch) and George Burbank (Jesse Plemons) are successful cattle ranchers, but they are estranged siblings.
What is a man meant to look like? The Dog's Power perceives the question but never answers it. Instead, it focuses on a timeless factor: the agony endured in the name of manhood.
This film will make you reconsider your role as a man on this planet.
This has to be the best Netflix movie of the summer.

All of Us Are Dead is a zombie outbreak horror television series set in South Korea about teenage zombies. This zombie series stars Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hu, Cho Yi-Hyun, Lomon, Lee Yoo-mi, Yoo In-soo, Lee Kyu-Hyung, Kim Byung-Chul, and Jeon Bae-soo. The majority of the series takes place at a South Korean high school as a large zombie outbreak threatens the kids' survival. It is based on the Now at Our School webtoon, which was published between 2009 and 2011.
Binders with peaks
Peaky Blinders is a British crime drama television series produced by Steven Knight. It is set in Birmingham, England, and recounts the exploits of the Peaky Blinders criminal group during the post-World War I period. The entirely fictional gang is based on the same-named real-life urban juvenile crime syndicate that operated in the city from the 1880s to the 1910s.
If you enjoy crime and thrillers, this series is without a doubt the greatest on Netflix.
In a volatile world where people are frequently more savage than creatures, the Witcher Geralt of Rivia, an evolved monster-hunter for hire, travels toward his doom.
This is the most I can say without giving anything away about the series.
Regardless of your tastes, Henry Cavil as Geralt has done an outstanding job in this series, making it a must-watch.

Game of Squids
Squid Game, a Netflix original series from South Korea, was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
The show centres on a competition in which 456 people, all of whom are badly in debt, risk their lives by playing a series of dangerous children's games in order to win a prize worth 45.6 billion won. The title of the series is based on the same-named Korean children's game. After meditating on his own early economic problems, as well as South Korea's class gap and capitalism, Hwang came up with the notion. Despite the fact that he authored it in 2009, he was unable to find a film company willing to fund it until Netflix expressed interest in it in 2019 as part of their effort to expand their international programming services.
