Sarcasm King! Chandler Bing!

 Sarcasm King! Chandler Bing!

Laughter is the best medicine. Chandler Weber has brought tears to the eyes of millions of people and made their cheeks ache. I'd be a billionaire if I could earn a penny every time I laughed and made the same funny comments as he did. I submit that there was never a better character, and that there will never be another. Did it get too emotional? Monica opened the door, and it's still wide open! You know what you're doing?

Do you know the person who said it? This was the famous king of sarcasm, the improvisation genius, Matthew Perry. He aka Chandler Bing said it in the American sitcom, FRIENDS. He is known for his hilarious comedic timings and sarcastic comments. Although you might not be able to identify the actor playing the role, it is impossible to forget about the character. Let's refresh our memories to recall Chandler Bing, the character we love.

Who's Chandler Bing?

Chandler Bing is close friends with Ross, Rachel and Joey. He will marry Monica in the later seasons. On April 8, 1968, he was born to Nora Tyler Bing (erotic novelist), and Charles Bing ("cross-dressing burlesque superstar") on that day. After opening a burlesque show for all-males in Las Vegas, Charles "Helena Handbasket", Bing became Charles "Helena Handbasket". This led to Chandler using sarcasm to defend himself. We'll see this throughout the ten seasons. Chandler also became addicted to smoking after their divorce. His father wanted him to leave with their houseboy, whom Chandler imitates every Thanksgiving. Chandler also resents his parents for their neglect and absence in his childhood when he most needed them. You can see this in his ongoing relationship with OH MY GOD! Maggie Wheeler portrays Janice, aka 'Oh My God!

How did he make friends with the rest?

Ross Geller was our sarcastic college friend. They became close friends during their freshman year and joined a band. He met Monica Geller, Ross' younger sister, and Rachel Greene in 1987. Rachel was Ross' long-lasting love interest. Chandler laughed when Monica introduced herself to Ross' younger sister after seeing her obese. Monica did not like Chandler calling her fat. She lost a lot of weight during Thanksgiving 1988. In her desire to retaliate for being fat-shamed she cut Chandler's right toe. She brought baby carrot to hospital, but Chandler's toe was not for reattachment. Ross called him Sir Limps-A Lot because of this mistake.

Our man moved into apartment #19 in New York City after 1987's thanksgiving. It was right opposite Monica's home. His sarcasm never falters, no matter where he's at, and it is obvious to his friends. He soon found a roommate, with whom he was able to bond better than his 'friends.' His name was Joey, an Italian actor who struggled with his accent. Watch him learn French from Phoebe. Joey is always the victim of Bing’s sarcastic remarks.

Chandler met Phoebe while she was in apartment #20 as a roommate of Monica Geller. Phoebe is one of the most witty people you will ever meet. She was raised on the streets, and she had already become a tough person when she met the group. Ross was her victim in an alleyway mugging. Chandler was always a good opponent when he made sarcastic comments. He had first met Rachel at Gellers' house in the early Thanksgiving season. However, he met her again in a coffee shop. Ross told Chandler that Carol, his wife, is lesbian. He had also moved out with her boyfriend. Chandler made a sarcastic comment about Ross' misery. Joey laughs and wonders if Ross didn't know anything about his wife. Ross attempts to explain that Carol wasn't a lesbian and no one else knew this. Chandler unknowingly muses about being a lesbian. He notices what he has said and asks his gang if they heard him. It's a classic Bing moment! Ross wants to marry and, at the same, someone enters Central Perk, (the coffee shop). Guess who? Rachel is all dressed up in a wedding gown and is drenched. Our Chandler pointed out the door to Rachel and said, "And, I just won a Million Dollars." He wished he had a bag of million-dollars as he walked towards him. All of us have!

All in One!

Chandler will sometimes make sarcastic remarks even when you are asking for simple advice. We love Mr. Bing because of that.

Grab some pizza and jump in the chair to see him live.
